Small tutorial to insert embroidery

This is an embroidery insert received as a bolt of fabric.


Cut cardboard into a shape larger than the embroidery. Fold in 4.

Fold also embroidery 4 from its center.

Place the shape on the embroidery, matching the 4 axes. Trace the outline in pencil.

Fold the fabric of your project to mark the axes and the center.

Ask your monogram on it, matching well the center axis.

Put pins all around.

With the sewing machine, make a simple sewing to 2 mm from the edge of your monogram.

Ensure that your monogram is tight. You have to pitch in then satin stitch all around, and your embroidery will be fully integrated. Try drone on a scrap of fabric before to settle the point.

Depending on the desired result, you will use for the satin stitch, a yarn or tonal contrast.
